The Royal Arch
The Completion of Pure Antient Freemasonry
The Preliminary Declaration in the UGLE Book of Constitutions says, "By the solemn Act of Union between the two Grand Lodges of Free-Masons of England in December 1813, it was declared and pronounced that pure Antient Masonry consists of three degrees and no more, viz., those of the Entered Apprentice, the Fellow Craft, and the Master Mason, including the Supreme Order of the Holy Royal Arch".
The Grand Master has publicly stated that all Master Masons should complete their journey through Pure Antient Freemasonry by becoming a Companion of The Supreme Order of the Royal Arch.
This crucial stage of freemasonry is open to all Master Masons from four weeks after their Raising.
St. John's Chapter
St. John's Chapter is a Northampton Royal Arch Chapter, consecrated on 25th July 1946.
We are one of 28 Chapters in the Province of Northamptonshire & Huntingdonshire and we meet at Freemason's Hall in Northampton.
We meet 4 times a year, on the third Wednesday of the month, in February, April, October (Installation) and December.
"The Royal Arch has always been an integral part of Pure Antient Masonry and will remain so. The Royal Arch is not an independent, standalone order, as it is in other Constitutions, but a coherent part of the whole structure. It is a very distinctive part of Pure Antient Masonry, and deserves to preserve that distinctiveness, but it is integral to it..."
